DYNO® EXPANSION ANCHORS

Expansion anchors are high tensile carbon steel or stainless steel fasteners for structural applications designed for usage in masonry base material which provides strong holding power on expansion. Based on the requirement and operation, we can classify expansion anchor into two categories, pre-expanded and un-expanded. The pre-expanded expansion anchor is inserted in a predrilled hole compress and then exerts force to create the holding power. The un-expanded expansion anchor requires the anchor to be set after it is installed into the predrilled hole in the masonry.

Torshear bolts or TCBs are high tensile carbon steel preloaded fasteners for structural joints and are replacing conventional high strength friction grip bolts and swaged collar rivets simply because they are quick and easy to install using lightweight electric shear wrenches.

DYNO® SHEAR CONNECTORS

A shear connector is a steel projection provided on the top flange of steel composite bridge girders to provide necessary shear transfer between the steel girder and compositeslab to enable composite action.The most widely used form of shear connector is the headed stud, or shear stud. Other forms of shear connector are block and hoop, and channel connectors.

    The advantages of shear studs over other forms of connectors are that the:
  • - Installation and welding process are quick and simple.
  • - Provides little obstruction to the slab reinforcement.
  • - Allows more satisfactory compaction of the concrete around the connectors.
  • - It provides equal shear strength in all directions.
